I have to tell you... this has been exhilarating. We wake up to gloriously sunny, breath-takingly beautiful mornings, and the dogs are different creatures. They revel in the ability to wander, sniff, and explore the area without constraint, and to experience true freedom. In the evenings, we sit outside, often cooking our meal over a little Weber grill we bought, and just enjoying the sound of the birds, and watching the potguts scurry around the campsite. I can't tell you how many years it's been since I've just sat and listened... and decompressed. We don't watch much TV anymore (which used to be very important to us).
The views here are beautiful, as the park is situated in a (very) rural Idaho valley, surrounded by lush, green hills. There are 3 other campers here, all very quiet, and all quite nice (at least the 2 we've met). The only sound is the wind in the trees, and the occasional distant sound of a mower on the golf course next to us.
The idea that this is our life now is overwhelming. We can't wait to get on the road and explore.
