Whoops.
Kind of jumped out of order on the Paradise blog... let me go back and fill in some gaps.
After we left the blistering hot, buggy Carolinas in August, we wended our way up to upstate New York, and wound up in the Adirondacks. We really didn't know where we were going to land, being unfamiliar with New England, but a very helpful volunteer at a Welcome Center gave us a map, and fortunately, told us that we were within days of "peak color" upstate. Yay us!
We ventured up toward Lake Placid, and got a spot at a very nice little RV park in "North Pole," New York. The color... was beyond belief. A photographer's dream. We camped for a several nights, spent some days exploring, and got some great images.
