We were about 15 miles outside of Port Lavaca... so even going to get milk was something of a drive. The closes thing we had to a place to eat/venture out was a marina about 2 miles away... they had a great ribeye special there on Friday nights, and had live music when it wasn't cold/windy. They had a pretty decent kitchen/cook, and I taught him how to make Fry Sauce, which he did for me whenever he saw me come in... GREAT burgers...
Even though neither Tracy nor I fish, it was fun watching the fisherman who came to fish off the marina... while we ate.
The marina was our main source of ice for our ice chest (which held a precious cargo of Diet Dr. Pepper at all times).
