After the shower was completed, we went over to the Pontiac area, near where I was born. We've been staying at Pontiac Lake State Recreation Area, which has been very nice... my parents met up with us a couple of days ago, and we have had a great time traveling around the area, visiting cider mills, and old haunts from my childhood. Oh, and did I mention that I took out my tailgate?
Yup. Unhooked the trailer, and while having a massive brain fart, put the tailgate up before I had pulled out from the trailer. I was lucky I didn't pull the whole trailer off the supports, which would have been catastrophic. Thank heavens for insurance. After the awesome experience (note the sarcasm) building out a new shower and camping in a Home Depot parking lot (not to mention spending enough to put the manager's kid through Harvard), we decided to take some R&R time, and so we've been here in Pontiac for just over a week... catching up on work, sightseeing, binging on donuts and cider, and exploring the wonders of Frankenmuth (if you're not familiar, look it up). And waiting for the tailgate to be fixed.
We took the time to finally set up our (new) offices, with monitors I bought from Best Buy a while ago... it's quite nice, if I do say so myself.
We're next headed to the Cincinatti area, where I have another couple of properties to shoot, and then we'll be headed back North for the turning of the leaves...
